二罪

The two classes of offence: (a) [lang id =1028]性罪 crime which is wrong in itself, e.g. murder, etc.; (b) [lang id =1028]遮罪 crime not wrong in itself, e.g. taking alcohol, but forbidden by the Buddha for the sake of the other commandments; transgression of this is therefore a sin against the Buddha.

﹝出圓覺經略疏鈔﹞ 〔一、 性罪〕， 性罪者， 即殺、 盜、 婬、 妄四種重戒， 不待佛制， 性是惡故， 犯之， 則有罪報也。 〔二、 遮罪〕， 遮罪者， 即酒戒也， 謂佛制此酒戒， 意為遮止無犯， 守護餘戒， 使不故犯， 如有犯者， 則獲遮制之罪也。

性罪和遮罪。 性罪是本性就是罪惡， 如殺、 盜、 淫、 妄， 不待佛制， 誰犯了就會得到罪報； 遮罪是遮止的罪， 如酒的本質不是惡， 但是佛禁止不許飲， 誰飲了就會得到毀犯佛制戒的罪。
